I think it’s the combination of the music & Bette’s magic, but I cry EVERY time I see this (THANKS A LOT!). I watch it every year. This really is one of my favorite Bette pictures & I’ve told her many times how wonderful she was in this role and how she was overlooked. Just heartwrenching.
