Mister D: Nigel from the YUK wrote me and pointed out how it is almost impossible for Bette to be at this benefit and touring Australia at the same time…LOL Maybe she was supposed to perform at this benefit, but now she has just donated something to be auctioned. I’m trying to find out what’s going on, but there just can’t be any way she could do this…anyway, thanks for catching this Nigel…hopefully someone will get back with me…

Heartworks Benefit to Feature Midler, Glover and Mamma Mia! Stars

A star-studded benefit for the National Marfan Foundation will be held April 12 at Gotham Hall. Entitled Heartworks: Creating Art to Save Lives, the one-night-only event will feature the talents of Bette Midler, Savion Glover, Mos Def and Mamma Mia!’s Liz McCartney and Judy McLane. The evening will also honor Victor McKusick, MD and Karen Murray.
Heartworks kicks off at 6:30 PM with a reception and silent auction. The dinner, performance and live auction will follow at 7:30 PM.
