  1. Yeah, it does look like Bette’s only going to be in it for a few minutes. I’ll probably wait for the DVD.

  2. Wow! Duffy had a number one hit like two weeks ago and it`s already in the trailer…but, sorry guys…by the time this movie is going to be on theathers I`ll be watching Then She Found me at home…:-)

  3. Looks very cute:) I’d see it if Bette wasn’t in it but since she is… that’s just icing on the cake:)

  4. Wow, it looks like a good movie, and as well as a Bette fan, i’m also a Will & Grace fan, so when I saw Debra messing I decided that I can’t wait to see it! Not gonna be able to wait until the DVD release 😀

  5. I haven’t had the chance to see it. The closest it came was Pittsburgh, which is still 3 hours away.

Guess I’ll have to wait for the DVD.

  6. Mr. D – Nothing to do with this topic. Though the movie does look good, but I am traveling to Hawaii in August and I was wondering if there is any bette related spots to check out, since it’s where she grew up.

    THANKS!

  7. I love Bette – but this movie looks god-awful.

I am shocked that you people of taste (you love Bette) would be atttracted to this.

    Go see the original

  8. I read the play “The Women” (loved it) and saw the original “The Women” and loved it.

I have no expectations about this movie being as causticly witty as the original. I’ll probably just view it as what it is….an updated interpretation of the original. I would only consider it a remake if they actually filmed the Clare Boothe Luce version….dialogue and period….

To me this looks like a fun time at the movies. It may end up being terrible, but I have to say the trailer made me laugh. I just couldn’t help it.

I know as a gay man I’m supposed to hate that they did this remake, but here’s my philosophy on the arts:

“What one man likes, another man might hate…it’s all subjective”

Thanks for your input and opinion Mike….

    Love, D

  9. Yeah, I never understood why people always get upset about movie remakes. Just because it’s remade doesn’t mean that all copies of the original will be destroyed.

Sure, they usually suck… but like you said, someone will enjoy it.
