Flawless, that is all I can say. But in true Manny style anyone who knows me, knows that I won’t just shut up and stop there.
Bette is ageless, regardless of her age, I don’t give a shit whether people disagree with me or not.
We are so lucky to be living in this day and age, despite the crap that’s happening around us and in other parts of the world. We are so lucky because we are living in a time with a remarkable and truly amazing performer.
True there are others out there in other circles of music and entertainment, such as KISS who are celebrating 35 years, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, but when it comes to the women, it’s usually Bette’s name mentioned first for being the Mother Trooper of them all.
I was at a dinner party a few nights ago, and one of the topics of conversation was Bette (like queens do). During the conversation, I asked everyone this question. “In 50 years time, who do you think will be remembered the most, Bette or Madonna?” I was knocked over that this room of 15 dinner guests, some who weren’t even born when Bette made “The Rose” all said BETTE. Now given that some of these queens love Madonna to shreds but even the Madonna queens said that Bette is a much better performer because she doesn’t rely on special effects to sell out a show, Bette is the special effect. To be honest I thought more people would have said Madonna, and it was a question I dreaded to ask but now I am glad I did.
So what has this got to do with Bette and The View? Sweet fuck all really, but I just wanted to share this with you all.
Dear Mr. D- Did Bette change her opening number, does she not come up on the luggage anymore? Or did they not want to divulge that bit of prop until you actually pay for the tickets! Thanks for all you do….Also you had a previous post that had the view girls talking about seeing the show and Sherrie not being able to attend. Am I mistaken or was that not part of the “aired” show? I might have fast forwarded through it….THANKS!!

I was wondering if anyone has the recent bette on jay leno,I think it was the 21st of june if you do could you put it on utube i’ve only found it on that damned redlasso it would be so appreciated. ILOVE ALL THAT LOVE BETTE AND AM SO GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE VIDEOS YOU ALL PUT UP THANKS!!!!!!

They did just an edited opening of the show without all the special effects…didn’t want to give too much away.
I did have another post up and deleted it after we got the whole View show. I thought I heard then talk about it on the show….
