BROOKLYN – New York Restoration Project (NYRP) presents Garden Grooves, a two-part outdoor concert series at NYRP community gardens in Manhattan and Brooklyn. These free musical performances will feature local artists.

NYRP will be transforming the Target Brooklyn Community Garden in Brooklyn and the Target East Harlem Community Garden in Manhattan into live performance spaces on Sept. 23 and 30. The sounds of pop, rock and hip-hop will fill each garden’s intimate setting beginning at 7 p.m.

Performers at the Target Brooklyn Community Garden include Amy Crawford, Jesse Ruben and Kyle Patrick. Performers at the Target East Harlem Community Garden, 931-933 Bedford Ave., include Katlyn Swanson, Lydia Caesar and Kel Spencer and Flo Blitz (aka Me and My Brother).

New York Restoration Project (NYRP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reclaiming and restoring New York City parks, community gardens and open space. The organization was founded by Bette Midler in 1995 and is credited with saving several hundred community gardens in the 1990s that otherwise would have been slated for demolition.
