Nov. 4, 2010 ”“ A bounty of hit films premiere on cable TV’s Movies On Demand (MOD) platform in November, 2010 with many advantages for viewers.  Throughout the month, Thanksgiving weekend and beyond, a veritable smorgasbord of hits will satisfy every taste. Families won’t have to worry about planning their entertainment, with films like “Karate Kid,” “Charlie St. Cloud,” “Ramona & Beezus,” “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore” and “Flipped” all coming to MOD this month. Major hits like “The Expendables,” “Eat Pray Love” and many others are on Demand the same day they come out on DVD. Plus, as you’ll see below, many major titles come to MOD several weeks before they get to Netflix or Redbox.  All MOD selections are at viewers’ fingertips through the cable remote, with no planning necessary, no DVDs to return and no late-fee worries.

All the films listed below and many others are accessible via MOD in November. In addition, hits like “How To Train Your Dragon” and “Sex And The City 2″ just premiered in October and remain available throughout November and beyond.

As an outsider he is targeted by a gang of school bullies. But under the tutelage of the eccentric, Mr. Han, he learns to stand up and believe in himself.

“Grown Ups” ”“ Premieres November 9 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix), PG-13, Comedy, Adam Sandler, Kevin James. Grown Ups is a comedy about five men who were best friends when they were kids and now are getting together for the Fourth of July weekend to meet each others’ families for the first time.

“Charlie St. Cloud” ”“ Premieres November 9 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix or Redbox), PG-13, Drama, Zac Efron, Charlie Tahan. A sailor’s future is cut short when a tragedy strikes. After his high-school classmate returns home, Charlie grows torn between honoring a promise he made four years earlier and his new love.

“Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” ”“ Premieres November 9 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix or Redbox), PG-13, Adventure/Comedy, Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is a comedy about a slacker who meets the girl of his dreams, but the only way he can win her heart is by battling and defeating her evil ex-boyfriends.

“Ramona & Beezus” ”“ Premieres November 9 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix or Redbox), G, Family/Kids, Joey King, Selena Gomez.  The adventures of young Ramona Quimby (newcomer Joey King) and her big sister Beezus come to life in this all new film based on the best-selling books by Beverly Cleary.

“All Good Things” ”“ Premieres November 12 (On Demand before theaters), R, Drama, Kirsten Dunst, Ryan Gosling.  Watch Now Before It’s In Theaters. A love story thriller based on a real unsolved murder case. A beautiful girl thinks she married the perfect man, until she realizes she doesn’t know him at all.

“The Kids Are All Right” ”“ Premieres November 16 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix or Redbox), R, Drama, Annette Bening, Julianne Moore.  Bening and Moore deliver natural and nuanced performances as a married couple whose lives are turned upside down after two teenage children express a desire to meet their biological father.

“Cats & Dogs: The Revenge Of Kitty Galore” ”“ Premieres November 16 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix or Redbox), PG, Kids/Family, Christina Applegate, Michael Clarke Duncan. Kitty Galore has gone rogue and plans to unleash a device designed to bring her canine enemies to heel and make the world her scratching post.

“Lottery Ticket” ”“ Premieres November 16 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix or Redbox), PG-13, Comedy, Ice Cube, Bow Wow.  When Kevin Carson wins $370 million, he’s got to keep a lid on his good fortune and survive the next 3 days until the lottery claim office opens after the long 4th of July weekend.

“Oceans” ”“ Premieres November 18, G, Family, Jacques Perrin, Zach Shada. This film captures the ocean that plays a constant role in history.

“Eat Pray Love” ”“ Premieres November 23 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix), PG-13, Drama, Julia Roberts, James Franco. Liz Gilbert (Julia Roberts) is a modern woman on a quest to marvel at and travel the world while rediscovering and reconnecting with her true inner self.

“Flipped” ”“ Premieres November 23 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix or Redbox), PG, Teen comedy. Two eighth graders start to have feelings for each other despite being total opposites. Based on the novel “Flipped” by Wendelin Van Draanen.

“The Expendables” ”“ Premieres November 23 (Same day as DVD), R, Action, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham. The Expendables, a tight-knit team of skilled combat vets turned mercenaries, set out to save the innocent and punish the guilty in this blistering action-packed thriller.

“Handsome Harry” ”“ Premieres November 23 (On Demand before DVD), R, Drama, Jamey Sheridan, Steve Buscemi

Heartless” ”“ Premieres November 24 (Same day as in theatres), TV-14, Horror, Jim Sturgess, Noel Clarke. A riveting apocalyptic thriller about a shy young photographer suffering from hallucinations who-confronted by demons both real and imagined-makes a shocking deal with the devil.

“Knight And Day” ”“ Premieres November 30 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix or Redbox), PG-13, Action/Comedy, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz. When a fugitive couple’s deadly adventure erupts into a maze of double-crosses and head-spinning romantic snafus, they come to realize that all they can count on is each other.

Going The Distance” ”“ Premieres November 30 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix and Redbox), R, Romance, Drew Barrymore, Justin Long. When a six week romp through NYC inadvertently becomes meaningful, Erin and Garret decide to see if they can go the distance in a coast-to-coast relationship.

“Vampires Suck” ”“ Premieres November 30 (Same day as DVD, weeks before Netflix or Redbox), PG-13, Comedy, Matt Lanter, Chris Riggi. Vampires Suck is a comedy about contemporary teen angst and romance movies. Becca, an angst-ridden teenager at a new high school, finds herself torn between two supernatural suitors.
