A Note From Bette
Hellooo from the indisposed!! Baddest of bad news: I have herniated a disc and have had to withdraw from my latest project, the HBO film “PHIL SPECTOR”. I was cast as the inimitable Linda Kenny Baden, Phil’s lawyer, and believe me, with David Mamet as writer and director, it was going to be a dream come true. Al Pacino is playing Phil, and I thought I was the luckiest actress in the world…well, dreams do get deferred, as we all know.
I am devastated that I will not be able to work with such an extraordinarily talented cast and crew, but there was no way I could have continued in my condition. Thank you for all your wonderful thoughts, tweets, and flowers; I am so grateful….I’ll stay in touch and let you know how it’s going. Wish me luck!!
XOX to all..

Oh, no, Bette! A herniated disk? Yargh! That blows in every way. Seriously. So very sorry to hear this. Lighting a candle and sending sweet, healing thoughts your way.
XOXO, –Deb in Columbus, OH
Sad about the new development on Bette’s HBO movie but HEALTH is more important. My love to Bette and praying for her speedy recovery – herniated disc shouldn’t be taken lightly – when I was doing my legal internship, I worked on a few cases dealing with clients with this kind of injury – so it is not really fun:( Our Divine Miss M is better taking care of herself than doing an HBO movie – health is WEALTH xoxoxox
Thank you Anne!
Some good news: Bette was nominated this morning for the Showgirl must go on:
