  1. Watched the doc with my bf and he and I both had chills when Bette came on. The documentary is a very important yet extremely difficult documentary to watch. All gay men and women owe a LOT to Vito Russo.

    Thank you for posting this clip. I don’t get HBO so will have to wait for the DVD to see it. I have 2 photographs of Bette from that day; they are 2 of my favorites. I love the early years of her career.

    A question Don, do you know what the setlist was for Bette’s June 1972 Carnegie Hall show? I was watching The Divine Bette Midler DVD and Barry talks about the show and I wondered what the setlist was.
