I’m so old I remember when Bette was born in Paterson, New Jersey on December 1, 1945, when she wasn’t a ‘blonde’, and when her middle name wasn’t “Davis”.
Since Hawaii did not become a State until 1959, does that make Bette a non-U.S. citizen. Just wondering, not trying to be a “birther” here.
There’s so much out there, now I don’t know what to believe.

Contrary to RJGinNV, I’m of course NOT old enough to remember where (and when) Bette was born. But since I believed she was born in Paterson NJ and have been reading she was -as a matter of fact – born in Hawaii, I would like you, Mr D, to once and for all clarify where the Divine One saw the light of day.
And while doing so, could you please give us some filling in why Bette’s side is undergoing a make-over: any news to be expected? Finally a new album after the terrific but unheard “Cool Yule” or a new movie worth seeing (the very fist since 1996 The First Wives’ Club) or even a new tour (the well deserved “One Night, One Dress” after the sterile “The Showgirl Must Go On” and the unpublished gem “Kiss My Brass”)?

Bette was born in Hawaii for sure. I even talked about it with Bruce Vilanch and he confirmed it.
Bette’s do over on her site most likely is due to the fact that she’s releasing a new album and touring some time in 2014. At least that’s what she said in an interview in late 2012. So we have something to look forward to…xx
