I can’t wait to hear Bette’s interpretive skills for this song. I heard a glimpse of Leonard Cohen singing it, but his voice is too gravelly (a la Tom Waits) to get a true sense of how Bette is going to punctuate the lyrics.

Drove down from Daytona to see her last night-was not disappointed. A really good show, she was spot on. Hard Rock was a good venue as not too big and the crowd was all there to have a good time-at least where I sat they were. (section 106)
My only regret is they ran out of CDs, surprised they are not selling them on here or somewhere..

This is the Best surprise to me. I love his songs and this is one of my favs
I was also at last night’s show and this song came on after a very funny comedy bit about social media, Facebook, twitter…etc., how everybody’s lives are out there for all to see and…she gets a lot of laughs. I won’t give away, but this song put everything into perspective. Bette just owns it. She should record it.
Btw, GREAT CROWD! They even finished singing,very loud and very nicely, the lyrics at the end of “The Rose” and Bette seemed quite moved.
I saw her last night at Philips Arena in Atlanta. She was amazing as always. I wish she would record “Everybody Knows.”
