Caroline Kennedy, daughter of late President John F. Kennedy, was named the worst-dressed woman of the year by fashion guru, Mr. Blackwell.

The list of 10 worst dressed – which traditionally featured mostly movie stars – included political figure Nancy Kissinger,  wife of Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Blackwell described Ms. Kissinger as a “traveling fashion stew.”

The others criticized for their attire in 1975 were singers Helen Reddy, Bette Midler (Betsy Bloomer is the name Blackwell used for the singer’s pantalooned gig – “didn’t pantaloons go out with the hoopskirt?”), Donna Fago, and Tammy Wynette. The latter won a twin blast for the field of country music.

Blackwell also criticized England‘s Princess Anne, viewing her as “a royal auto mechanic” And added to the list Tatum O’Neal, the 12-year-old actress-daughter of Ryan O’Neal.

Also added to the list was Elton John: “He would be the campiest spectacle in the Rose Parade if entered.”
