The song “Fire Down Below” was written by Bob Seger. He first released it with his band, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, in 1976. It is a rock song that explores the theme of the prostitution industry, highlighting the diverse backgrounds of its customers.
Bette Midler first performed the song in the movie The Rose with a bevy of female impersonators, but it did not make it onto the soundtrack. However, she performed a live version of “Fire Down Below” during her concert tours and in the 1980 film “Divine Madness.” She included the song on this soundtrack, and I have the video down below…lol
