Hi Mister D,
I don’t know you if were aware or not but Bette appeared, only for a few minutes, on The One Show, here in the UK last evening. She was “via satellite” and it seems that she got on really well with the presenters last time she was in the UK and appeared on the show. I don’t know if I caught it all as I didn’t know she was going to be on and had set my video for the programme after it and just caught the last 6 minutes. I will be watching via iPlayer as soon as this show is uploaded, can you watch it that way in the USA? Anyway, Bette and the presenters exchanged xmas presents – a feather boa and some of the stuff from the Vegas Showgirl shop by the look of it from Bette to presenters and they gave her a big glass that they said she could “drink warm English beer out of”, to which Bette laughed. Also on the show was Michael Palin – he of the mighty Monty Python. Bette was calling him by his first name and seemed to know him. It was all very nice and the presenters said that Michael Palin had been on three times and now Bette had been on twice and hopefully she will make it 3. To this Bette put up 2 fingers, (not the peace way round!) and said that they must come see her show in Vegas. From the tone of it Bette obviously liked the people who present The One Show and got on well last time she was on and hopefully she will come back and grace our screens again. She seemed in a really good mood and was grinning all the time and laughing. She looks fabulous for her age! Anyway, somebody else might have seen more. Take care, Carina
