Jon Lovitz briefly mentioned that The SW’s was based on the old 1975 movie with Katherine Ross…he told who the cast was, but said Christopher Guest instead of Christopher Walken….then he mentioned that he played Bette’s husband…
Sharon asked what’s it was like being married to Bette Midler and he said something to the effect … not so great since she wouldn’t have sex with him…it was a stab at humour:-) He talked about a ballroom scene where everybody is in a circle and they are supposed to be dancing in a circle and moving around…I guess like those old waltzes….he said he had a hard time and kept moving in front of Christopher Walken when actually he was supposed to be behind him…and supposedly Chris would yell at him and said what in the
hell are you doing….yada yada….
He said most of the women in that scene were very tall and skinny and he referred to Bette as being so tiny and short…he said he kept runnning Bette into the tall women’s elbows and stepping on her feet….and Bette was of course acting as if she were in pain…
They showed no scenes from the movie…
If I ever get around to it I’ll try to make audios of some of these interviews, esp those that aren’t too long…:-)
