Not A Definitive On Sale Date But…

Sacramento Bee
Coming Distractions

It’s a done deal: Two shows we’ve teased you with recently have panned out, and we have on-sale dates.

Veteran diva Diana Ross will indeed play Memorial Auditorium on Nov. 12. Showtime will be 7:30 p.m., and tickets will be $34, $43, $65 and $95. They go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Community Center Box Office (916-264-5181) and at tickets.com.

Concerts are a rare undertaking for the mercurial Ross. And as far as we can tell, this is her first visit to Sacramento. At least, our esteemed panel of local rock historians can’t remember Ross or The Supremes ever playing here. So, this looks like a case of better late than never.

And the more frequent visitor Bette Midler will indeed be playing Arco Arena on Dec. 2, as we announced weeks ago. Tickets for the show will likely go on sale at Ticketmaster outlets on Oct. 4, but we haven’t been able to nail down prices just yet.
