This year’s festival brings the best in queer cinema from around the world to Chicago’s Landmark Century Centre Cinema (2828 N. Clark St.) and Chicago
Filmmakers (5243 N. Clark St.). There are 48 programs of features, shorts, and special presentations…plus a couple of great parties you won’t want to miss!
Make plans to attend the Opening Night Gala Event on Thursday, November 4th, at the Music Box Theatre (3733 N. Southport Ave.). The evening kicks off at 6:30 pm
with a reception sponsored by Pink Pages and catered by La Donna Italian Cuisine and Thai Classic Restaurant. At 7:30, get ready for a rollicking good time with our opening night feature, “D.E.B.S.,” a girl-power spy spoof that follows the adventures of ultra-sexy secret agents who have more than saving the world on their minds!
After the movie, hit the After Screening Party at Izzo/Jones Arena + Studio for the Arts (1806 W. Cuyler), where the festivities continue with some old school/new school fun, including sensory stimulation provided by DJs Sky and Oskar, along with dancing by Chix Mix Divas Nako and Tamale. There will be more food at the After Party, and the champagne will be flowing (courtesy of the amazing Ginger Gassel). Cheetah Gym will provide a non-alcoholic juice-bar option for girls and guys “in training.” This promises to be a hot party, so don’t miss out!
The festival will run for seven more days after that with the best line-up ever, including the festival closer on November 11, “Straight-Jacket,” a film that’s generating lots of buzz. It’s a Technicolor dream of a film about a 1950s silver screen heartthrob, Guy Stone, whose homosexual escapades are making the studio nervous. His agent arranges a marriage to naive secretary Sally to ensure that the
best-kept secret in Tinseltown stays that way. Stars Matt Letscher (Good Morning, Miami) as Guy.

See you then!
