Mister D Pokes His Head “In The Pink” Place!…(EEEEWWWW!)

LOL…Sorry for the title…I had to go there for my research! 🙂 Anywho, after I read that last interview of Bette’s in that Aussie Women’s mag where they said she was going to begin making the movie, “In The Pink”, with Tim Allen and Cher, I just had to get more proactive.

I had talked with Bette’s assistant and she said that she knew Bette was associated with the movie, but didn’t know anything else. So, I being “curious burnt sienna,” decided to check out Tim Allen’s official site…much to my surprise, I saw that he actually writes people back sometimes, so I joined his club and posed this poorly phrased question in hopes that someone would answer me-lo and behold-Mr. Allen answered me:

I keep reading in interviews with Bette Midler and Cher about a movie, In The Pink, where both these ladies will be starring with Tim Allen? Do any of ya’ll know? I keep getting the runaround…everybody denies it, but it keeps popping up in articles whenever I read about any of these 3 stars?

Thanks so much for your time…

Don

It’s a script in development and we are all excited about the potential

What this says to me is that there really is some momentum (and truth, now) to this movie and rewrites will be happening…but always remember the phrase “development hell”…so many projects never get off the ground. But with Cher ending her tour at the end of April and Bette’s shortly afterward…things seem to be falling into alignment…no word on Britney Spears…I couldn’t bear to hear what the answer might be! 🙂 However, I did think Britney displayed more talent for the screen (Crossroads) than for the ipod! (or rather her inabiliy to sing live)

That’s all folk!

Love, Mister D

PS: OOPS!!! This just in from Contact Music:

The TOXIC singer is set to play door-to-door saleswoman DREW HEART alongside CHER, TIM ALLEN and BETTE MIDLER in comedy IN THE PINK.

Spears’ first big screen outing in road movie CROSSROADS in 2002 was panned by critics and failed to set the box office alight.

A friend enthuses, “Britney really wanted this part – it’s a good script and she’s determined to prove to her doubters that she can be funny.”

PSS: This article, however, stated that filming begins March 5 2005, so you see where all the confusion and synergy add up to chaos and disbelief… 🙁
