Join the New York Restoration Project (NYRP) and other volunteer groups in a Clean Up the World event in Fort Washington Park, Saturday, September 17 at 5 p.m., immediately following the 13th Annual Little Red Lighthouse Festival (see below).
Clean Up the World (www.cleanuptheworld.org) is a community-based environmental program that inspires and empowers communities from every corner of the globe to clean up, fix up and conserve their environment. Now in its 13th year, CUW mobilizes over 35 million volunteers from more than 100 countries annually, making it one of the largest community-based environmental campaigns in the world.
