I’m sure some people have noticed, but many haven’t, that there have been pics added almost daily since I arrived home from Hulaween, so please check out the scrapbook. Darrell and I still plan on doing our regular one page write-up, but that will come later. I haven’t gotten all the pictures up, but I will in time. I’d like to thank everyone who sent pics in: Albert, Amber, Barry, Becci, Chaz, Jamie, Julia, MacCaire, Mr. Todd Kaplan, and all the professional photogs I cribbed from! 🙂 I tried my best to credit you properly though! You can check them out, starting on this page: Click Here I believe there are about 3 pages worth and there will be some more added.

I also wanted to mention 4 behind the scenes people that I saw sweating their tooshies off during Hulaween. One, I’ve met several times, Eric Kornfeld, Bette’s comedy writer, and the other was Seanne Farmer, Bette’s stage production manager. I like to stand off to the side and watch and you could see these 2 so focused on their job the whole time. I just met Seanne briefly, once, but didn’t know how “hands on” her job was. I don’t have the expertise to know exactly what they are doing, but it’s enough for me to know that I couldn’t do it…LOL I’d be a nervous wreck. (I am anyway, but that’s besides the point.) Same goes for Mr. Hom…just stand back. The man is on a mission. Okay, and Jill, too. I’d be bald (and if you saw me with my hat off, I almost am…don’t ask why!…sad, sad story!) Anyway, kudos, to these people!
Also, remember there is one more day to go for the charity buzz auctions…they end tomorrow night at midnight, November 8th…so get your bids in if you’re playing for keeps. Rod Stewart’s balls are still cheap from what I gather…so for those of you who have the bucks…here’s your chance! 🙂 Any who here’s the link to the auction: Click Here
Two Bette alumni have shows debuting this week:
Richard Jay-Alexander (KMB) directs Lea Salonga in her solo Carnegie Hall debut tonight. What does Ms. Salonga have to say about Richard? :
“The first time we worked together,” Salonga recalls, “was on Les Miz when I went in many years ago. I remember him being very enthusiastic, very passionate, very hands-on, very emotional and very committed to what he does. And that has not waned in any way in the years that I’ve known him. . . .

He’s just very direct, very candid about what he wants from you – how you should do this, how you should do that. He pretty much has that same enthusiasm. He’s like a kid in a candy store, and it’s so much fun to see that there are people in this business for whom this has not gotten old.
For as long as he’s been in this business, it’s so refreshing to watch him and to interact with him. He’s got so much fire, and it’s just incredibly enjoyable to work with him because of that.”
(Is this the same Richard I know??? 🙂 )

“Direct from his broadway and San Francisco run as “Edna Turnbald” in Hairspray, comes Hollywood’s favorite funnyman in his Empire Plush Room debut. Written and conceived by Vilanch, “Almost Famous” takes a peek at Bruce’s encounters with glamorous, ego-driven, pansexual denizens of Tinsel town.”

I never got to see the first version of this show held some years ago before he got…let’s just face it….famous!
From what I hear, it was hysterical, so if you get the chance to see it, get there! Anyone willing to pay my airfare from Nashville and back? 🙂
