Bette Midler Donates Several Items For An Auction Package To “SHARE”And You, My BetteHeads Have A Chance To Participate!

Mister D: I received a wonderful email from Ms. Rebecca Charles, Executive Chef and Owner of the Pearl Oyster Bar, asking to tell all of you about a fabulous and important benefit for Share (details below). Last year, Ms. Charles helped Bette by contributing a package to Hulaween – the Clambake at Pearl Oyster Bar with Ruth Reichl…Ms. Rebecca Charles’ restaurant. This year Ms. Midler has donated several items to SHARE to be auctioned off as a package worth an estimated $6000.00 -bidding starts at $1000.00. This is a great cause, so give it a look, and a bid!!!:

What Is SHARE?

SHARE is a thirty year old not for profit organization offering survivor-led support to those affected by breast or ovarian cancer to ensure that no one faces breast or ovarian cancer alone. Drawing on their own experiences, cancer survivors help others address the many emotional and practical issues that arise from a cancer diagnosis. SHARE empowers individuals and communities to advocate for increased access to care, improved treatment modalities and quality of and increased research funding. SHARE’s services include hotlines in English and Spanish, with capacity in 12 other languages, support groups, wellness programs, educational meetings, and advocacy activities. All programs are free of charge.
