Thanks for letter on Bette Midler
I want to thank Terry Gustafson (“Bette Midler’s quips upset couple,” Letters, Saturday) for telling us about Bette Midler’s irreverent treatment of Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin in her show.
I, too, am planning to see Midler’s show soon, and I am looking forward to it even more after reading Terry’s comments.
I used to be a Republican before the likes of Limbaugh, Cheney, Palin and other far-right-wingers took over the party. – Steve B., Scottsdale

Hey Mr. D! Saw that you commented on the Arizona Republic article about Kathy Griffin’s show with Bette. Could the man have been watching the same show?
Anyway, here was my comment to him – thought it would make you proud.
“Bette was hilarious along with Kathy – she performed as she was asked to perform – to illustrate the “perks” of the so-called “A list” vs. the “D list” – have you never watched Kathy’s show before? Get a clue. This is no reality show, it’s an act that was done so well as to confuse you entirely, apparently.”
Your answer was much better than mine….I could only muster up 3 or 4 words I felt so bad. What you said was spot on…
