Bette Midler and Cast and Crew of The Showgirl Must Go On Mark the Closing of the Show at Bradley Ogden in Caesars Palace

LAS VEGAS ”“ On Wednesday, Jan. 27, Bette Midler and the cast and crew of The Showgirl Must Go On celebrated the closing of their two-year engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with a private party at Bradley Ogden.
With her signature wit and humility, Bette raised a glass of Krug champagne to the talented cast and crew while thanking them for two wonderful years in Vegas. The Divine Miss M. will take the stage for her final performance on Jan. 31.

Actually, it’s about 2 years old…it was when she won Woman of the Year for that ballet thing in Nevada….

I was lucky enough to attend both the opening and closing nights of the show. The first show was great but the last show was absolutely fantastic. You could feel the love, the pride in a two-year job well done and the sadness of leaving old friends behind.
