Well, I never thought I’d see the day that I’d be THIS attached to an ONO song, but by GOD, BETTE BLEW THIS ONE OUT OF THE FRIGGIN’ WATER!
The lyric is pretty damned fierce, but Bette’s delivery was beyond impeccable. I get such a kick out of those “WTF?” emailers who discovered what we all knew all along.
The lady will ALWAYS stop the show. I pity any a**hole that ever has to follow her. EVER.
I don’t think I’ll ever personally understand why middle-America has chosen to absorb this woman in small doses and cameo appearances, but she always, ALWAYS “leaves ’em weak and beggin’ for more!” (Prince! Get off her leg!)
I guess she’ll probably have to wait for her damned obituary to receive the respect that she deserves,but I’ll keep pledging my respect every day…because that’s how often she makes my world a better place.
