The 20th Anniversary Little Red Lighthouse Festival will be hosted in conjunction with the Historic House Trust’s Fall Festival. The festival will focus on Manhattan’s only remaining lighthouse and activities will include tours of the lighthouse; readings of the children’s book, “The Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge”; fishing clinics; live music and a theatre performance; an interactive reptile experience and activities for kids of all ages; arts and crafts, festival food and more!

Each fall, the Little Red Lighthouse Festival commemorates this unique and historic setting located just below the George Washington Bridge. Many organizations, community partners, and city officials collaborate to produce the festival which is attended by hundreds of families who enjoy playing and picnicking along the park’s pristine shoreline. Fort Washington Park in upper Manhattan was the first public green space that NYRP Founder Bette Midler targeted for her initial restoration and greening efforts.
