Why is Bette Midler going around telling everyone she is a “genius.”–A.R.
The Bette-genius connection came about because of what was written in a new book, mostly of photographs, by actor Roddy McDowall.
He asked friends and various celebs to write about their favorite performers, with McDowall photographing the notable choices.
Among the 115 in the glossy book was Midler, praised by none other than the late Sir Laurence Olivier, who said, “Bette Midler must be as near to being a genius as makes no matter.”
