Blame Bette Midler for Game 7 of the Rangers-Capitals series being pushed back to Wednesday

She is the wind beneath their wings.
The Rangers and Capitals are getting an extra day off before Game 7 Wednesday night in part because The Divine Miss M’s Divine Intervention tour was playing Tampa Bay’s Amalie Arena on Monday night.
The NHL worked around conflicts at all eight arenas to arrange its second round Stanley Cup Playoff schedule, which included slotting the Lightning’s Game 6 with the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday evening because the diva was descending upon the snowbirds of Florida. That pushed the Rangers and Caps back to Wednesday night.
Midler also is playing the Garden on June 25 and 26, and Barclays Center on June 29. By then, the Rangers intend to have paraded already through the Canyon of Heroes.
