Q: Isn’t Bette Midler planning to star in a movie biography of veteran singer Rosemary Clooney? – C.P.
A: Bette tells me she’s planning an exciting new movie project. It’s a screen biography of Ina Ray Hutton, the leader of an all woman band in the 1940s. To research the part, the Divine One has been hanging out with Clooney, who was very much a show-biz presence during the big band era.
