On Friday, October 30, 2015 we celebrated NYRP’s 20th anniversary at Bette Midler’s madcap, masquerade gala! That evening, we honorod the Divine Miss M herself with the Green Goddess Award, and Dan and Sheryl Tishman with the “Wind Beneath My Wings” Leadership Award. The Waldorf Astoria was transformed into “Hell Night on Hulaween Island” complete with top-notch entertainment by Nile Rodgers and Chic, delicious dining and a costume contest judged by Michael Kors. It was one helluva party and perhaps THE most fun way to support Bette’s vision for a cleaner, greener NYC. Costumes were inspired by Hell Nightmeets Heart of Darkness meets The Island of Dr. Mureau.
