Veteran villain Dennis Farina took a punch in the nose from John Travolta in”Get Shorty” and some serious verbal abuse rom Whoopi Goidberg in “Eddie.” Farina,a former Chicago cop who turned to acting, says being a bad guy isn’t so bad though.
“The bad guys are as funny as they are bad,” he said. “It’s like many of our best Westerns. There’s a mythic quality to them.
That’s the next thing I want to do, a Western.I think I’ve got the face for it.” Farina’s face will appear next opposite Bette Midler in “That Old Feeling,” playinga newspaper columnist bitterly divorced from Midler for more than a decade. It’s Farina’s first movie lead role.
