Bette Midler and Julianne Moore became best friends in only 9 months
By Ian Mohr

Bette Midler and Julianne Moore have been best friends — for nine months.
Midler revealed the deep new bond while presenting Moore with an honor at MoMA this week.
“She’s been my best friend for nine months. I love her,” Midler said. “We met this past spring while playing two icons in a new [Julie Taymor] film called, ‘The Glorias.’”
Since meeting on the shoot, “We have trespassed, we’ve danced and sung, we’ve laughed our asses off. She was my tour guide to the hellholes of Montauk this past August,” recalled Midler.
“She took me to a clambake in a junkyard — which is just as Long Island as it sounds.” (Midler is more accustomed to sprucing up outdoor spaces as the founder of the New York Restoration Project — which conserves NYC nature.)
Added Midler when presenting Moore with the WSJ. Magazine 2019 Innovator Award for acting and activism, “She’s an actress of incredible range — she’s played both Gloria Steinem and Sarah Palin. There is a range between those two big enough to drive cattle.”
I see that the IMDB has updated the release date of The Glorias from January 1, 2020 (obviously an incorrect date), to January 26, 2020. A quick google search seems to indicate that it will open at the Sundance Film Festival on that date. Didn’t see any dates after that, but here’s hoping we’ll get to see it sooner, than later. Don’t know if this date will stick.
Yeah! I need to put up a lot of catch up stuff for people. I talked to Jill just Monday and she said they’re still filming the movie, and it’s to makes its world premiere at Sundance between late January to early Feb. I don’t think Bette has ever been to Sundance
