NEW YORK — Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon will host the second Annual Frederick’s of Hollywood Lingerie Art Auction & Fashion Show in Los Angeles on Oct. 20. The location is to be determined.

The live auction will take place at 9 p.m. with cocktails, followed by a fashion show of Frederick’s spring 2005 collection at 10 p.m. Beginning Oct. 13, visitors can bid to own a personally designed celebrity corset at fredericks.com, with all proceeds going to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network.

The star-studded soiree in 2003 featured celebrity-designed boudoir fare by Sharon Stone, Sarah Jessica Parker, Courtney Cox and David Arquette, Ben Stiller, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, Ellen DeGeneres and Goldie Hawn. Last year’s event raised more than $90,000 for Expedition/Inspiration — Take a Hike, a charity for breast cancer research.

In addition to Sarandon’s lingerie design, this year’s roster will include more than 50 bras and corsets designed by the likes of Julianne Moore, Bette Midler, Melanie Griffith, Debra Messing, Annette Bening, Pamela Anderson, Lucy Liu, Cindy Crawford, Sheryl Crow and Julianna Margulies, said a Frederick’s spokeswoman.

Lend\ing a man’s point of view to the lingerie mix will be a number of “sexy undergarments” created by well-known actors, including Dustin Hoffman, Will Ferrell, Ed Harris, Jeff Goldblum and Michael Keaton, as well as team efforts by Christian Slater and Ryan Haddon, Dermot Mulroney and Catherine Mulroney and Aniston and Pitt, said the spokeswoman.

Sarandon, who has designed a limited-edition “Prayer of Heart” corset to be sold exclusively at Frederick’s, with all proceeds going to RAINN, was on location Monday and could not be reached. But Linda LoRe, president and chief executive officer of Frederick’s, said, “Part of what’s making this event go so well is the incredible reception from the celebrities we’ve approached and the outreach from Susan Sarandon. Vital to the success of the event is the commitment from our chair, and Susan has far surpassed our expectations. We’re blown away at the work she’s done so far to create a spectacular event.”
