“Then She Found Me” To Play The 11th Annual Sonoma Valley Film Festival (April 11th and April 13th)

Special Screening – Northern California Premiere!
Then She Found Me

Starring: Helen Hunt, Bette Midler, Colin Firth, Matthew Broderick

Bette Midler and Helen Hunt are hilarious in Hunt’s directing debut.

April (Helen Hunt) is a thirty-nine year-old with a screaming biological clock. Ben (Matthew Broderick), her insecure and immature husband, has decided their marriage is a mistake, and her ailing adoptive mother has died. On top of this, an overbearing loud-mouth local talk show host named Bernice (Bette Midler) shows up and announces herself as April’s biological mother, sharing the incredible news that April is the result of a one-night stand with Steve McQueen nearly forty years ago. April finds solace from the turmoil in her life in a new relationship with Frank (Colin Firth), a single father whose wife has recently abandoned him and their children. Helen Hunt masterfully balances a challenging nuanced performance with directing a most moving and funny first feature film. Courtesy of Think Film.
