Q: I was wondering whatever happened to Bette Midler‘s plans to star in a series of Broadway musicals on TV. I know that the TV production of “Gypsy” in which she starred was a big hit. – P.T., Farmingdale, N.Y.
A: Bette Midler did plan to do at least one other Broadway musical as a TV special, but things seem to have been put on the back burner for the time being.
