The ingenious ‘Cats & Dogs‘ are back on the big screen, and this time Kitty Galore is getting revenge! ET is with Christina Applegate, James Marsden and Bette Midler, who are starring in the live-action/CGI family spy adventure!
“The past couple of years I’ve wanted to do things that I can, in my repertoire, show to my goddaughter and my future children,” Christina explains of why she wanted to do the film.
“I have two kids, so it’s like, ‘This’ll be a fun gig.’ You go and roll out of bed and you don’t need to worry about how you look, just lending your voice. It’s a fun family movie that I can take my kids to see,” James says of the project.
For her part, Bette shares that the work was challenging because she recorded it on her days off in Vegas while she was doing her Caesars Palace show, The Showgirl Must Go On. “I had to do it without losing my voice because I had to go back and sing,” Bette tells ET.
In ‘Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore,’ in theaters July 30, the age-old battle between cats and dogs goes a paw too far when MEOWS spy Kitty Galore (the voice of Bette) goes rogue and hatches a diabolical plan to make the world her scratching post! Can the rest of the cats and dogs form a truce long enough to stop Kitty’s evil plot?
The film also features the talents of such stars as Sean Hayes, Michael Clarke Duncan, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Pantoliano and Paul Rodriguez.
