In his review of Bette Midler’s recent performance at the FleetCenter [“Live and on Record,” Arts, March 19], Matt Ashare writes that “the backing band swung hard enough to teach the Royal Crown Revue and Squirrel Nut Zippers a lesson or two.” I found this comment particularly amusing, considering that Midler’s backing band is the horn section from Royal Crown Revue!
