Don’t miss our Sixth Annual Spring Picnic, to be held in NYRP’s Swindler Cove Park on the banks of the Harlem River. We are celebrating The Cherry Tree Project, an esplanade of cherry trees planted by NYRP along the Harlem River Drive just south of the park. It’s Founder Bette Midler’s dream to plant one million trees in New York City over the next decade, and these beautiful blossoming cherries are just the beginning! Joining the Divine Miss M will be our Honorary Chair, the Oscar-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden, and the renowned actor John Lithgow as our MC. The special evening will feature cocktails aboard our floating Peter Jay Sharp Boathouse, followed by a seated “picnic dinner” catered by Blue Smoke under a tent in Swindler Cove Park. Spring Picnic proceeds will help us transform polluted waterfronts into parks, vacant lots into community gardens, and eyesores into oases.

In conjunction with our Sixth Annual Spring Picnic, CharityBuzz will host an online auction to benefit NYRP. The auction will be live from May 22 through June 8 and will feature special lots, such as lunch with Sopranos star Lorraine Bracco at the New Leaf Café, followed by a tour of the Heather Garden in Fort Tryon Park.
