I so ove that article about her, its so funny, 🙂
Anyways on another matter, You might already know but..
I was watching TV at home, and a trailer for “The Women” came on,
I turned the vol right up, (my parents were not to happy, but Bette was on it so who cares):D
and there she was, smiling away at then end LOL
It was the first time i had seen it,
So the trailer is being shown on TV over here in England now yey.:D
Hayley xx
I’ve had the trailer up forever Hayley, but it’s always different when you see it on your TV or the movie theatres…..be assured her part is tiny, though.
Thanks Honey Gee!!!
Hey Mister D
Thanks so much again for your awesomeness in posting my message in regard to Bette and her Boomer Hotness. You are a legend and I’m honoured to be your friend.
On a slightly unrelated note, I was watching my copy of “Divine Madness” again the other day, and I must confess that as much as I love this concert movie, there is one joke of Bette’s I don’t quite understand. I thought I was pretty savvy when it came to Bette, but this time she stumps even me.
It’s when she makes a reference to her trip to the YUK where she “read Milton till she went blind”, I understand the YUK reference of course, but can someone explain the Milton joke?
I feel kind of dumb in asking, but I know you guys are helpful and understanding.
Cheers, Michael
Don’t feel dumb Michael, because I don’t know. Thanks a lot, now I have to go research and figure it out…LOL It will prey on my mind if I don’t….
Love, D
Michael:
I did a little research….this is what I came away with…
Milton went blind while writing his 12 volume epic, Paradise Lost….
Bette went blind while reading it…..
Ta Da!!!
D
Thanks Don
I am glad you explained it, although it doesn’t seem like a trademark Bette joke. By this I mean, I’ve been trying to put it in a racy context like her other jokes and the whole Milton thing didn’t seem particularly saucy. It’s the only joke in an otherwise spectacular concert that fails to grab me.
Cheers, Michael
