I’ll be honest: I never saw 2001’s Cats & Dogs even though I have a stuffed Mr. Tinkles from the film in my office. (I made that the nickname for my former cube mate, so now I’m stuck with it for sentimental reasons.) That said, I’m kinda into the sequel, which, in addition to cats and dogs working together to stop the evil (and naturally hairless) Kitty Galore (Bette Midler), features 30 Rock’s Jack McBrayer (!), former Grey’s Anatomy veterinarian Chris O’Donnell, and SNL’s Fred Armisen in the flesh. Suck it, G-Force.

Who else hates to admit they’d totally watch this?

  1. The Divine One was a dog (Georgette) in “Disney’s Oliver & Company” and now she’s a cat (Kitty Galore). Too bad she won’t sing in this as she did in the Disney animation feature.

  2. I am so excited! lol I was the biggest fan of the first movie and I remember dragging my mom out in the pooring rain to go see it in theaters. ok I was seven when the first movie came out so I have an excuse. lol Even if Bette wasn’t in it I would still probably be at the movies seeing this new movie and reliving my childhood. : ))

  3. Maybe Bette will sing, not a professional song like she’s done in pass films, but maybe some kind of Karaoke

  4. Yay i have an excuse, i have a 4 year old niece who loves movies (and i’ve brainwashed Bette into her head- she loves hocus pocus, oliver and company and big buisness.) so by the time this comes out, she’ll be 5 and ready for the movie theaters!!! yay i love being an Aunt!!!

  5. I’m excited for this! I love animals so I watch all the cutesy animal movies. Beverly Hills Chihuaua is one of my favorites so I would have seen this one even if Bette wasn’t in it. The fact that she is in it is a huge exciting bonus! It looks fun!

  6. I always thought Bette’s voice and tone would lend itself nicely to voiceover or animation work. However, I always thought it would be a wonderful pixar movie. I don’t know what to say about this. Except that I will go so it only to hear her!
