Singer Celine Dion is returning to Las Vegas for a three-year stint at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the resort announced Wednesday.

The new show is set to premiere March 15, 2011, but tickets to the first 54 performances go on sale Friday.

In a statement, Dion described the show as, “a mix of timeless Hollywood classics, along with all the favorites that my fans like to hear me sing.”

Dion christened The Colosseum in 2003 with her long-running show “A New Day,” playing to sold-out crowds until late 2007.

Since then, the resort has hosted a number of performers, including Cher and Bette Midler. Midler’s “The Showgirl Must Go On” closed Jan. 31.

While it’s unknown how much Dion will be paid for her new show, the revenue could make her one of the decade’s top-selling artists.

Last month, the Los Angeles Times reported that Dion pulled in $522.2 million during the 2000s, thanks largely to her residence on the Las Vegas Strip. She also sold $225.7 million worth of albums during the decade, the newspaper reported.

Ticket prices for the new show will range from $55 to $250, not including taxes and fees. Tickets will be available by Ticketmaster or by calling 877-4CELINE.
