You may recognize Bruce Vilanch from TV’s “Hollywood Squares” trading quips with Whoppie Goldberg or battling his weight on VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club“. Or maybe you might remember him from his gender bending role as Edna Turnblad in the Broadway rendition of the John Waters hit “Hairspray”. Bruce Vilanch’s resume began as a comedy writer for such stars Bette Midler, Dolly Parton and Pia Zadora and he uses these ladies as fodder for his stand-up routine as he weaves his personal experiences into comedic gold.
