Priscilla Queen of the Desert Box-Office Opening Will Feature Contests and Giveaways

The Palace Theatre box office, which is located at 1564 Broadway, will open for business Jan. 24 at 10 AM ET to celebrate the upcoming Broadway arrival of the new musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

The producers of the new musical, which was recently seen in Toronto, will mark the opening of the box office with several giveaways and contests. Details follow:

”¢“Priscilla pink” hot chocolate will be served in line in Times Square as ticket buyers enter for a chance to win a $725 Manolo Blahnik gift certificate.

ӢThe first 100 people to purchase tickets will also receive a special double CD of dance music inspired by Priscilla.

ӢEnter-to-win contests will be held for a chance to sit in on the original Broadway cast album recording session in New York on Jan. 25; complimentary dinners at Australian restaurants Sunburnt Cow, Sunburnt Calf and Bondi Road; and a Priscilla Opening Night package including a pair of tickets to the March 20 performance and after party with the cast and creative team.

All offers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Following its North American debut engagement in Toronto, Priscilla will officially open on Broadway March 20; previews begin Feb. 28.

Adapted from the Academy Award-winning film “The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert,” Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical is written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott. The production features direction by Simon Phillips, choreography by Ross Coleman and musical supervision and arrangements by Stephen “Spud” Murphy.

The cast is led by Olivier Award nominee Tony Sheldon, Tony Award nominee Will Swenson and Nick Adams.
