Dunwoody is getting the Hollywood treatment.

The city is among the locations being used to shoot a new feature film starring Billy Crystal, Marisa Tomei and Bette Midler, among others.

According to Internet Movie Database, the film is about a grandfather who finds himself having to take care of three grandchildren, struggling between 21st century parenting and old school methods.

The movie, which will be directed by Andy Flickman, is expected to be released in 2012.

The film has various working titles, including ‘Parental Guidance,’ ‘Call Me Artie’ and ‘Us & Them.’

Friday, the film was shooting on a closed set, just south of 285 on North Peachtree Road at the former Hanwoori Restaurant, which closed more than two years ago. Dozens of trailers and security guards were dotted throughout the perimeter of the property, while the movie was being shot inside the old restaurant.

City Manager Warren Hutmacher told the Dunwoody Crier that the movie has permits to use the back field at Brook Run Park, and have been considering using the skate park there. They’ve also selected a home in Dunwoody to shoot.

The film had a casting call in late September/early October looking for extras, a stand-in for Billy Crystal, a Chinese noodle maker, young musicians, BMX riders, little league coaches/umpires, bartenders and more.
