We in the gay community are known for worshipping our divas. From Aretha to Cher to Madonna to Gaga, there are a plethora of pop icons that many of us are forever enamored with–but which one do we choose as our supreme diva?

This Saturday, June 16, join Michael Musto of The Village Voice as he moderates a discussion on the LGBT community and diva worship at “Love Thy Diva.” Musto is joined by Clay Cane, host of “Clay Cane Live” on WWRL 1600 AM and BET.com critique entertainment editor, Madonna impersonator Vivian Belle and Bette Midler impersonator Divine Grace–it’s like a debate and show all rolled into one!

“Love Thy Diva” takes place Saturday, June 16, in the East Village at the Tompkins Square Library, part of the New York Public Library System. Catch the free discussion at 2 p.m., located at 331 E 10th Street.

The then event moves to Riverside Library (127 Amsterdam Avenue) on June 23 at 2 p.m., featuring Whitney Houston impersonator Tyra Ross, Beyoncé impersonator Charley Marie and political analyst Edward Wyckoff Williams political analyst. Clay Cane moderates.

In a theoretical battle of the divas, we’d probably go for the Queen of Pop–after all, she loves to stir up controversy, even at 53. Who’s your top diva?
