June 12, 1976
A a r on Russo, Bette M i d l e r ‘s p r o d u c e r – manager, and Harlan Kleiman, Home Box Office vice president, announced today that Home Box Office will air THE BETTE MIDLER SHOW in its entirety on the evenings of June 19 and 21 at 9 p.m.
The 2 1/2-hour show is the one Miss Midler took around the country recently on a highly successful 20 city tour.
The performance that will be aired was taped at the Cleveland Municipal Auditorium earlier this year and will be shown on Home Box Office exactly as it was presented on stage to a live audience. Home Box Office, unlike the networks, will exercise no censorship.
