OMAHA, Neb. –The CenturyLink Center Omaha says singer and legendary performer Bette Midler had added Omaha to her North American tour.
The June 5 concert in Omaha will be the 24th concert on the tour. Tickets go on sale March 16 at 10 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.com, the CenturyLink Center Omaha box office and by phone at 800-475-3000.
The tour features material from Midler’s iconic career and material from her new album, “It’s the Girls!” — a tribute to girl groups through the ages.
Midler has earned four Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year (1989: Wind Beneath My Wings; 1990: From A Distance) and Record of the Year (1989: Wind Beneath My Wings), two Academy Award nominations, three Emmy Awards, one Tony Award, three Golden Globe Awards and nine American Comedy Awards.
Feb 13 2009, dx stage 4 breast cancer. 6-8 months…my first response go see the Divine Miss M in vegas with as many of my 10 siblings that could make it. We went and had a BLAST…6 of us!! Just passed my 6 yr anniversary…and two heart surgeries, masectomy, and 11 drugs (starting #12 tomorrow due to progression) my response when I saw the Omaha date….lets GO! Could use some help making this happen…and woud LOVE a picture with Bette…after all these years still ask my husband (39 yrs) daily Do You Wanna Dance? So I am up tonite dreading the next treatment but loving video after video of Bette Midler! One of my favs…the sailor song sung to Johnny Carson, and the last song he suffered gladly….so give me one for my baby and one more for the road!
