I wanted to share my picture of the meet and greet from Denver. It has taken me a bit of time to try to figure out what to say to you about this meeting.
At one point while Bette and I were mid conversation and someone told Bette that she needed to wrap it up or something of the sorts with me.
I told her “I am so sorry for keeping you.” (We were discussing NYRP). Anyway, she grabbed me and hugged me super tight and said “Don’t you ever apologize, Valerie!”
Then, we continued talking and she ignored the person telling her to hurry along! Haha!
I told her thank you again for helping me find my voice and she grabbed me again and squeezed me tighter. I said that I looked forward to seeing her again soon. She smiled and grabbed both of my hands and hugged me again.
I felt pretty special that evening. It’s not every day I get to hang with my hero, ya know?
