Q: The football game scenes in the film. The Last Boy Scout seemed to require thousands of extras to fill the stadium. How many people were actually used and was that a record number of people hired as extras? – C.P.

A: About 4500 extras made up the stadium crowd for the football scenes in the Bruce Willis fxlm. Although it did keep the Central Casting Agency in Burbank busy lining them all up, it was nowhere near the madness generated by hiring 12,000 extras in the Bette Midler film, The Rose, some years ago.
