HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HBO: It’s been 20 years since the cable channel debuted with a 1972 transmission of a hockey game to 350 WilkesBarre, Pa., homes. An hour-long retrospective, “HBO’s 20th Anniversary” (airing Wednesday at 8 p.m EST on CBS i, shows where things went from there. Salutes from Whoopi Goldberg, Bette Midler and others are featured, along with highlights from the past two decades. Rest easy: We’re told CBS has cleaned up the naughty comedy bits.
