  1. I was there and Bette was wonderful. she only came out to say hello and to sing a short and sweet version of The Rose but it made Peace sunday for me something so speical and I will never forget it!

  2. Mr. D, you are an archiologist! Where did you find this?!… It was sweet… But, God, what a terrible outfit!

Please, what was/ is Peace Sunday? If it still exists, when is it?

    Marcos.

    1. LOL Marcos…I found it on You Tube….somebody just happened to post it last night and I happened to catch it. Divine timing! On June 6, 1982, 80,000 people gathered at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena California, for Peace Sunday. It had to do with nuclear disarmament. Another event comparable to it happened and was made into a documentary called “No Nukes” with a bunch of musicians like James Taylor, Carly Simon, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, etc… I think Bette was invited but didn’t think she fit in….
