This from my favorite “man on the run”:
1.) Matt Lauer interviewed Queen Latifah for her role in “Chicago.” Matt said the directors and producers originally wanted Bette Midler for the role of “Big Momma.”
And this has been on the board today, but here’s another perpsective:
2.) On “The Osbourne’s” Ozzy was walking on the treadmill and on the tv monitor was Bette’s video of “Wind Beneath My Wings.” I could swear I saw a tear in Ozzy’s eye as he listened to Bette sing. It was a surreal moment —
